Natural thermae in Tuscany

Land of naturalistic wonders, art treasures and gastronomic delicacies, Tuscany has always been known for the many springs whose waters, after digging among the rocks, see the sunlight creating natural pools in which to dive, regenerate and find the balance between physical form and inner serenity.

Saturnia's ancient thermal baths

The sound of the water gushing from steaming waterfalls echoes in the lush Maremma countryside. Immersed in nature, here are the Cascate del Mulino: pools dug into the rock, where the miraculous thermal water of Saturnia flows. The first encounter with the waterfalls is always exciting, especially when they can be seen from the provincial road coming from Montemerano. Stretched out over the valley, with the skyline of Saturnia as a frame.

San Filippo Baths

At the foot of Monte Amiata, in the heart of Val d’Orcia, here is this surreal jewel of nature. Just follow the path through the woods and you will come out between small pools of white and crystalline waterfalls. Compact stalagmites and stalactites descend to form whitish steaming ponds. The waters of these free spas in Tuscany come out at a temperature from 30 °C to more than 40 °C.

San Casciano dei Bagni

The Etruscans built the first structures there for the use of thermal waters, but it was the Romans who made San Casciano dei Bagni famous, a free spa in Tuscany at the foot of Mount Cetona. There are many, 42, the thermal springs of San Casciano dei Bagni, a town in the province of Siena, near the border with Umbria and Lazio.

Natural thermal baths of Petriolo

The Terme di Petriolo are immersed in the typical green of the Sienese hills between the Val di Merse and the Maremma in a landscape of amazing beauty. The thermal waters of the Bagni di Petriolo flow from the source located on the bank of the Farma stream at a temperature of 43 °C.
